Our ZANY ZOO

Dear Kindergarten Families,

We will be learning about many different zoo animals over the next two weeks in preparation for our field trip to the zoo. Below is a schedule of some fun days to plan for…

Week 1

5/5 (Tuesday): Dress like your favorite zoo animal

5/7 (Thursday): Bring a zoo animal book to school to read with a buddy

5/8 (Friday): Bring your favorite zoo animal stuffy to school

Week 2

5/12 (Tuesday): Zoo research projects due (see below)

5/14 (Thursday): FIELD TRIP to the zoo

5/15 (Friday): Dress like a zoo keeper

Zoo animal research project

Students will work with family members and research three different zoo animals. On each page in the zoo booklet draw a detailed picture of the animal, write about their habitat, diet, and fun facts about each animal. All students will present their booklets to classmates and the pre-k classes. Have fun!

Attached you will find the field trip permission slip.  Please return on or before May 8th.

WISHLIST for each classroom

Large container of animal crackers (for a graphing activity), face paint crayons, zoo pal paper plates

Thanks,

The Kindergarten Team

In case anyone has done or is planning on doing some spring cleaning and you don’t know what to do with all the old things, consider donating them to Room 104. We can find a use for almost anything! Old books, puzzles, game, dress up clothes, etc are always welcomed.

You can also always donate to one of our Donors Choose projects. Share the links with your family, friends, and on your social media page.
