We have started our study of apples. Today we learned about the parts of an apple. Each student drew a tree as a background. They got very creative with this. Many students drew tree swings, some drew themselves under the tree eating an apple, others put the tree on a hill. Then they pasted on the apples parts. First came the skin or peel, next was the core, all students then put on two seeds, a stem, and finally a leaf. The product is amazing and hanging in the classroom.

Later this week, the students will use the words to label the apple.

Thank you to all the families that have let me know that they would generously like to donate apples. It is very much appreciated.

Please let me know if you would like to chaperone our pumpkin farm field trip on the 22nd. I can take four chaperones.

Just a reminder: the Ray School Class Fee is $85. Make any checks out to Ray School. Put them in the red folder; once received you will get a receipt.

I have not received all the forms that came home with the students at the beginning of the year. Please get those to me as soon as possible.
